The project envisages the construction of two identical, adjoining townhouses, located on a narrow property with two stone walls. The plot is presented with a northern slope and a panoramic view of the city. The entrances to both houses are from the south, where the garages and entrance halls are located. The terrain elevation plan provides a semi-level below all the sidewalks, which opens to the courtyard from the north. This level offers a flexible space, suitable for an office, living room or gym.
On the first above-ground level is the living area – a common space, including a living room, kitchen and dining room. The envisaged semi-level allows for a greater clear height in the living room – 3.45m,
which creates a feeling of space and light. The connection of the living room with the courtyard is provided by an external metal staircase.
On the second floor are children’s rooms, a bathroom and a toilet. The third level is for the master bathroom with a bathroom, a closet and a covered terrace, from which a view of the city opens. The large vertical glazing on the northern facades provides maximum opening to the view and natural light entering the interior. Despite the identical functional scheme, the two houses have a different architectural appearance. The materials used and proportions when opening create a clear visual distinction, emphasize the individual character of each of them and interrupt the feeling of a common, monolithic building.
